Lafayette County court dockets and case files are split among the Clerk of Circuit Court, municipal clerks, appellate courts, and federal courts. Each office holds a different record layer. This private resource organizes official Wisconsin search portals, contacts, and request routes so readers can identify the proper custodian before starting a search.

Why We Built This Site

Wisconsin provides public access to many court summaries and records, yet finding the correct system can be difficult. WCCA indexes circuit court cases, while municipal ordinance matters may remain with a city or village court. WSCCA covers state appeals, and PACER holds federal dockets. The Lafayette County Clerk of Circuit Court keeps the local circuit file and supplies document copies that do not appear in WCCA. We organize these official routes, explain common case-number and docket fields, and distinguish a public summary from the documents behind it.
